World Languages and Cultures Department Programs Spanish Language Summer and Semester Programs in Oviedo, Spain We currently offer both summer (four weeks) and semester-long programs at the University of Oviedo in northern Spain.  Summer Program (Offered in alternate summers) WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR? World Languages and Cultures majors, minors, and everybody who wishes to earn Spanish credits towards their degree completion. COURSES Six credits of intensive language and culture classes at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced level. Courses are also available for heritage speakers. PROGRAM COSTS COSTS VARY PER YEAR. Tuition, room, fees, meals, textbooks, certificate, accident insurance, excursions, and other cultural activities - Approx. $2,000 Airfare not included Semester Program The semester program in Oviedo combines the teaching of language with a comprehensive wide-ranging, yet in-depth view of Spanish culture. They are especially valid for those students who wish to major or minor in Spanish, but are also suitable and accessible for those whose main area of study is not Spanish. Students can earn 15 credits for intermediate and upper division courses in Spanish, as well as in other departments (pending prior approval by the designated department).
